My Favourite London Venues for Corporate Event Photography
After 15 years photographing corporate events across London, I've worked in well over 100 venues — from intimate boardrooms in Mayfair to vast conference halls at ExCeL. Some venues are a genuine pleasure to photograph in. Others present real challenges. And a handful are so spectacular that they practically make the photos themselves.
If you're planning a corporate event and choosing between venues, this guide should help. I'll share the London event spaces I genuinely enjoy working in, what makes them distinctive from a photographic standpoint, and what to bear in mind when it comes to capturing great images.
The Brewery, Chiswell Street, City of London
One of my most-visited venues and consistently one of the best. The Brewery is a beautifully converted Victorian building that manages to feel both grand and warm at the same time. The Porter Tun room — with its vaulted timber roof and exposed brickwork — is particularly spectacular for conference photography, and the natural textures give images real character without needing much additional lighting.
I've photographed events here for AstraZeneca and a number of other major clients, and it never disappoints. The layout also works well for networking shots — there are natural gathering points and interesting architectural details that frame candid moments beautifully.
Tobacco Dock, Wapping
Tobacco Dock is a favourite for brand activations and large-scale corporate events. The Grade I listed warehouse architecture provides a dramatic backdrop — all exposed iron columns, vaulted brick ceilings, and atmospheric lighting — that gives event photography genuine visual impact.
The venue works especially well for product launches and experiential events where the environment is part of the story. It's also large enough to feel genuinely impressive in wide-angle venue shots, which matter when you're promoting the event to future delegates.
Wembley Stadium, Wembley
There's something genuinely thrilling about photographing a corporate event at Wembley Stadium. The sheer scale of the space — and the iconic backdrop of the pitch, the arch, and the stands — gives images an immediate wow factor that no other London venue can replicate.
The event spaces at Wembley range from sleek conference suites with panoramic pitch views to larger hospitality spaces with that unmistakable stadium atmosphere. It works particularly well for high-energy corporate events, team away days, and award evenings where you want the venue itself to do some of the talking. From a photography standpoint, the pitch-view backdrop is always worth using — there are very few settings in London that create that immediate sense of occasion.
InterContinental London — The O2, Greenwich
The InterContinental Greenwich is one of London's most impressive conference hotels, sitting directly alongside The O2 with sweeping views of the Thames. The event spaces here are genuinely world-class — well-lit, well-designed, and large enough to handle everything from intimate boardroom meetings to major multi-day conferences.
What I particularly appreciate from a photography perspective is the quality of the interior lighting and the contemporary design — both of which make it straightforward to produce clean, polished corporate imagery without fighting the environment. The riverside setting also provides excellent opportunities for networking and reception shots with a distinctive London backdrop.
Savoy Place, Victoria Embankment
Savoy Place — home of the Institution of Engineering and Technology — is a hidden gem for corporate events on the Victoria Embankment, with Thames views that few venues in London can match. The art deco interiors give events a distinctive elegance, and the tiered lecture theatres are particularly interesting to photograph — the architecture creates natural depth and framing that makes speaker shots genuinely compelling.
It's a particularly popular choice for technology, engineering, and professional services sector events, and the combination of the historic building and river views means there are excellent opportunities for both formal event coverage and atmospheric environmental shots.
Fairmont Windsor Park, Berkshire
Technically just outside London, but absolutely worth including — the Fairmont Windsor Park is one of the most beautiful event venues I've worked in. Set in 35 acres of parkland on the edge of Windsor Great Park, the hotel combines five-star luxury with a genuinely stunning natural setting that creates extraordinary photographic opportunities.
I've photographed conferences and corporate events here and the results are consistently exceptional — the grand interiors, the parkland backdrop, and the quality of the event production all combine to produce images that feel truly elevated. If your client or audience expects a premium experience, Fairmont Windsor Park delivers it photographically as much as it does in every other respect.
Magazine London, Greenwich
One of London's most dramatic and exciting newer event spaces. Magazine London sits in a former gunpowder magazine on the Thames at Greenwich, with a spectacular industrial interior and capacity for thousands of guests.
I photographed the Wellcome Summit here and was genuinely impressed — the architectural bones of the space are extraordinary, and the way light works within it creates naturally dramatic imagery even during the day. It's a venue that rewards a photographer who understands how to use available light effectively, and the results speak for themselves.
What Makes a Great Venue for Event Photography?
Whatever venue you choose, the photographic quality of your event images will depend on a few key factors: the quality and consistency of the lighting, the visual interest of the backdrop and architecture, the layout's suitability for candid photography, and whether there's space for an experienced photographer to move around freely.
If you're in the early stages of venue selection and would like a photographer's perspective on how a particular space will work for your event, feel free to get in touch. I'm happy to offer an honest view based on experience — and if you've already settled on your venue, I'd love to discuss how I can help make the most of it.
